Okeeheelee Park is a premier park located just west of West Palm Beach. It covers over 900 acres and encompasses two lakes with access for boating, fishing, water skiing, and radio controlled boating. The park features amenities for many types of sports, including a 27 hole golf course, with pro shop and clubhouse, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a BMX biking area. There is a fitness trail and bike trail that snakes between lakes with many pavilions and picnic areas along the way.
This is absolutely one of the best outdoor activities in West Palm Beach.

Okeeheelee Park is one of the most prominent parks in all of Palm Beach County.
At the north end of the park, situated on the original 90 acres (360,000 m2) of original natural habitat, is the Okeeheelee Nature Center.
The center features 2.5 miles of trails winding through 90 acres of pine flatwoods and wetlands. Highlights of the center include hands-on exhibits, animal encounters and a nature related gift shop. You will be marveled to see birds of prey, touch live snakes or prowl for owls during a visit to the programs scheduled throughout the year for families, youth and adults at Okeeheelee Nature Center.

There is a dog park in Okeeheelee called Pooch Pines. There are three areas, two for large dogs, and one for small dogs. There’s plenty of shade, bag dispensers, benches and a washing station.
Okeechobee Public Golf Course
This is a beautifully maintained 27 hold championship level course featuring also a driving range, chipping and putting practice area and clubhouse/pro shop.
The course is set up in three nine-hole courses that can be played in multiple 18-hole combinations, providing the potential for a different golf experience on each visit to the facility. Every hole features five sets of tees, so all skill levels will feel comfortable playing at Okeeheelee.
Fees for a round of 18 holes between December and April range from $22 for “twilight” golfing to $54 for prime morning times. A round of nine holes costs between $18 and $36 depending upon the time of day and whether you are walking or have a cart. There’s even a “all you can play” for just $9 after 4:40 pm.

If you have a USA BMX card to practice or race, this will be the place for you to go on your wildest ride ever.
Okeeheelee BMX track is 1220 feet for amateur and 1340 for pro. The BMX track hosts various events around the year. Race seasons run from January 1 through May 31 and June 1 through December 15.
Okeeheelee BMX is ranked one of the top 5 tracks in the USA, #1 track in the East (US) and #1 in Florida.
This 111-acre world class equestrian showplace has been built with the local horse enthusiast in mind. The Jim Brandon Equestrian Center consists of five riding rings, a covered arena and two pristine stable buildings capable of holding 128 horses.
