The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, also known as Whitehall, is a 75-room mansion open to the public in the town of Palm Beach, and one of the most prominent museums in Palm Beach County. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a mansion built around a large open-air central courtyard and modeled after palaces in Spain and Italy.

At the forefront of the history of the town of Palm Beach is the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, a breathtaking and palatial landmark that served as Flagler’s family home for decades.

The Museum is open year round. Hours are:
Sunday – 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Closed Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Museum admission:
Adults (18 and older) $15; Youth (13 – 17) $10, and (6 – 12) $3

Three stories tall with several wings, the mansion has seventy-five fully restored rooms furnished with period pieces. These rooms are large with marble floors, walls and columns, murals on the ceilings, and heavy gilding. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about Florida from the beginning, when Henry Flagler’s railroads and luxury hotels established tourism and agriculture as the mainstays of the state’s economy.

Museum Tours

Allow yourselves up to two hours to tour the property to explore the  Museum’s changing exhibition gallery which features temporary exhibits on topics related to Florida history and America’s Gilded Age. There are also permanent exhibits on the history of Henry Flagler’s life and career and the Museum’s extensive lace collection.


You will find world-class exhibitions highlighting art or artists, topics, and issues of the Gilded Age (1865-1929). All exhibitions to The Gallery —located on the second floor of Whitehall— are free with Museum admission.

Every year, the Flagler Museum hosts a series of diverse cultural programs for Museum Members and visitors. The Museum’s highly regarded ‘Music Series’ brings acclaimed musicians to the finest chamber music venue in South Florida. Other equally impressive annual programs include the Bluegrass Concert, Christmas events, the Easter Egg Hunt, Founder’s Day, and Mother’s Day.
